you heard it here first. They should have fired him last night but it's coming. Will they be smart and dangle him out to the college community to lessen the buyout? Probably and then Wiscy and AU can fight over him. Would be a solid college hire.

Rhule will be great at Auburn, Nebraska or wherever he lands. Dude can coach.

Probably not, but I've held the opinion for a long time now that Rhule is exactly what AU needs right now.

He may not be a championship coach, but he has shown that he can take a program from rock bottom and get it pointed in the right direction pretty quickly. That is what Auburn needs right now. They gotta figure out how to stop the bleeding and get the program trending in the right direction. It's been on a decline for 5 years now. Slow, steady decline under Gus with a fall off the cliff under Harsin.

Sounds great, but I'm certain the real hire will be much more underwhelming.

I could live with that.

I'd much rather they look in that direction than Hugh Freeze, which is where I fear they are going to look once Kiffen turns them down.

To hire someone like Rhule, we'd need a decent AD in charge. We'll see if that happens.

Franklin goes to Auburn, Rhule goes to Penn State, Mullen to Nebraska.

Get Rhule or at least a decent SEC veteran (Sam Pittman type of guy) who knows how to recruit to stop the bleeding down on the plains.

I doubt Rhett Lashlee would want him on his staff.

Too many chiefs, not enough Indians.

The money people want to hire UK's AD and then hire Stoops away.

I don't see it happening though.

It is either Lashlee or Freeze. Just depends on which one is cozier with yellerman at the moment.

Rhule strikes no fear in the rest of the SEC. Sure, bring him on. We'll see how long he makes it before auburn pays him off to leave.
