Howell has looked like shite tonight. Corral has had his bad games for sure, but some of Howell’s mistakes were inexcusable for someone who is supposed to be a Heisman contender.

As a Saints fan I only hope that I need neither to be my savior.

Skill players matter. Howell has no one to throw to. Lost his starting RBs and WRs. His TEs can’t catch for shite and we’re off every time on coming out of their routes.

Matt Corral is in the wrong place to be great. He needs to be at a University where discipline is the focus over emotion. He is a gunslinger that's for sure but with the right coaching and discipline he could be great. Don't think he'll find that at OM. Hopefully he finds it in the NFL. Listening to people talk about Peyton today was interesting. He was turnover machine and then Dungy told him bluntly to stop turning the ball over. Suck it in stand up tall and just eat some grass. Stop trying to make a play that isn't there. And now he is hall of famer.

Wonder why A&M missed that Ole miss game last year

What channel is this game on?

Sam Howell's Heisman campaign lasted until before the first Saturday of football season.

Howell looked like shite because his receivers and tight ends are arse. I didn’t think he actually looked like shite but the folks he was throwing to sure did.

but with the right coaching
If you’re a starting college QB who would you rather have than Lane Kiffin and Jeff Lebby? There’s max a handful of other coaching staffs that can offer more to a QB. Corral didn’t even get an off-season with them last year, he actually knows the playbook now and will be poised to break all kinds of records.

MSU broke records against LSU. Doesn't mean anything. Like I said he needs some discipline and I'm not talking about getting after him with a switch. Check downs, throwing the ball away, eating grass, sliding, timing, windows, isolation. He can improve everywhere. I think he can be great but I don't think he is there or will get there with Lane or the WRs he has at his disposal. He is going to try and carry the team and end up turnover machine again. That can be undone if everything all's into place. I give him 22 percent chance he gets 2 Heisman votes.

I thought Howell actually made some pretty amazing plays. His stat line looks a lot worse than his play. Players around him were a disaster. Probably close to 10 total drops in the game, nobody won a 50/50 ball, no seperation, couldn’t run the ball outside of Howell scrambles, almost no time to stand in the pocket.
Reminded me of Mahomes in the super bowl. Obviously he’s not Mahomes but similar situation of a QB trying to put the team on his back, failing, but putting up a damn impressive effort.

Do you even read the rant? They got all world total bad arse once he left Tennessee Ty Chandler.

Situations like this are how you separate who actually watched a game and who just glanced at a box score.

Bo Wallace for Heisman!

That's pretty true. His passes were accurate but his receivers seemed small and werent getting any separation and also had several just flat out drops.

Sam Howell was running for his life and his receivers sucked.
I see OM OL bein much better and even though they lost their top WR's surely the new guys won't be as bad.
Having said all that, you still may be right. MC is dang good, if he ever learns to quit giving up those int, he might even get to the next level. The NFL does not put up with a QB that throws interceptions for long.

Howell had to throw in absurd windows all night. His receivers had no ability to create separation and his line let him get mauled. Corral is awesome of course but Sam is a great prospect for a pro team. His receivers gave him no chance that game.

I can’t wait to play Corral again. He’s so good at throwing to Razorbacks.

I can't speak for Sam Howell but we all know Matt Corral is a functioning retard. His wunderlich score is going to be one for the ages.
