Watched him from the first row in the PMAC, and he’s all man. Everything you want in a player. Not sure what the draft stock on this guy is, but would love him in New Orleans

Nobody recruited him.

He was a 270 pound overweight kid.

Literally. He went to juco because nobody offered him. Then his best offer after a year at juco was UALR until Mike Anderson offered him. He won’t be kidding one day when he tells a bunch of kids that he was a nobody recruit. The first time I heard his name in connection to Arkansas I don’t think he even had a profile on 247. It seems like a few teams would have sniffed around considering his brother and sister were big time college basketball players.

Big, physical guards are hard to come by with his skill set....okoro nor doughty could contain him and they are two of the best defenders in the league

Yeah despite being a mediocre athlete he somehow gets to the rim at will. He’s improved a lot in that regard since last year. If he were just a little more explosive he would be unstoppable at the college level. It sucks that Isaiah Joe will be out because this team definitely has a ceiling without him but I’ll be enjoying the Mason Jones show while I can.

If he’s not SEC player of the year I’ll be shocked, dude has had a crazy good year.

It’s just crazy. Went to basically an unknown prep program. Then a mediocre JuCo. Now he’s put up 30 pts in 3 straight games. It’s so damn impressive.

He's a great success story. Would love for him to come back with the team we'll have next year but not counting on it.

Yeah he’s been going off.. the firsf game against LSU I was telling everyone this guy has game for the next level. Fortunately we were able to get inside his head and he beat himself. If he can conquer that I think he could develop into a nice Nba 6th man

I certainly won't hold it against him if he has better options. I'm really curious what the NBA will think about him. Anyone have an NBA comp? Eric Gordon maybe?

I'm not sure but I bet he has some looking his way now.

Even after playing all but maybe 30 seconds of the game, dropping 40, and almost singlehandedly beating the #11 team... he blamed himself for losing because of the FTs he missed.

We're going to be missing this guy when and if he does go.

What are the expectations with Jones and Joe after the season? If they both leave with Whitt and Bailey it could be a tough year even with a great recruiting class.

If?

He's scored 30+ points 3 games in a row and has scored 40+ twice this season. He's one of the best players in the country.
