Had to, he had them over a barrel. In a year when everyone is looking for a new coach, AU had to pay up to ensure the Program continues momentum of the regular season. AU will have a Top 10 recruiting class again and a lot of players returning. He essentially held two programs hostage.

AU has played 7 playoff teams in our last 17 games. This year we are 2-2 against playoff teams.
