And he should win it if Bama goes undefeated and he continues putting up similar type numbers even after losing his top WR.

Usually a top candidate can survive missing one game, but Lawrence missing 2 games... including Clemson's only "marquee" game of their entire regular season, SHOULD basically knock him out of the race. Fields will play fewer games even if they get them all in and his "marquee" games vs Penn St and Michigan don't exactly look like must see tv anymore.

With no Utah St or NW State type games on the schedule to pad stats like LSU had last year, Mac is putting up similar numbers to Burrow so far. He should be the clear leader.

He still underthrows too frequently for my liking, but this dude has made me eat this biggest pile of steaming crow I've ever eaten in my life.

It has been glorious.

it's great for him to get that recognition but if I had to bet I'd bet on Lawrence and Fields since they are the media darlings of the last year or two.

He is the Joe Burrow of 2020. Everyone thought he was an above average QB, but nobody expected this. He made our very good defense look like a high school team.

He should be the favorite. He's been nothing short of spectacular. It would be insane if he wins after TUA didn't while going against Lawrence and Fields.

Jones is having an awesome year and so far deserves it but don’t be surprised when ESPN starts pumping the off the field elements of Lawrence’s season for “a story”. He lead the BLM movement at Clemson, He lead the #wewanttoplay movement on social media, and missed games due to COVID. It’s a crazy year and I don’t expect this to be a normal Heisman year.

As he should be. Fields would be his main competition and he won’t have enough games to catch up.

Jones is good, but his receivers have bailed him out some. Especially, Smith. That dude will come back to and track a football like no other receiver I have ever seen.

He's the man. Can't argue with him being the favorite.

Isn't that the truth.

Fields has played a bad Nebraska team and a mediocre Penn State team (that had no business being top 10 going into that game). The only person who has played softer defenses is Lawrence.

I think the knock that always gets me, whether it's the Heisman race or the NFL draft, is that a guy "had talent around him." Seems like I hear it about Bama guys most often...as if a player at Clemson, Georgia, LSU or Ohio St doesn't have elite talent around them. It's really a ridiculous knock... otherwise, just go after above average guys on crappy teams.

Anyway, I know the media has been up Lawrence's butt ever since he beat Bama for the NC, but missing 2 games, including their "biggest" one, should knock him out of the race. And even before he went out, I think Jones was playing better this season.
