You guys throw the pigskin really well. If I had to identify one weakness on our defense it would be pass defense. This makes me think that it could get ugly on Saturday. We are going to have to hope that our defense finds the pass rush that so far has been nonexistent

LSU and Auburn are close in rushing and pass d standings

Auburn has better rushing stats

LSU however is 2 in passing and Aubs is 102

Yep, and you have a Heisman QB and we have a true freshman quarterback who has for the most part played like shite this year

But AU's starting RB is out - that will have a significant impact

No Troll, Is Auburn's Dline only good at Run Stopping? Is Brown a 3rd Down Players?

Disagree. There isn’t much of a difference between our starting RB and our backups.

We don’t have much of a pass rush. Our d line is elite at stopping the run. You will have to double team Brown which leaves Marlon Davidson on 1 v 1.

I actually like our secondary somewhat. Our linebackers really struggle in coverage though. Brady/Ensminger are going to attack the middle of the field like hell. Gotta hope Burrow misses high a couple times for a couple INT's.

Auburn always plays one of its best games against LSU. It's like that in every sport also. Whoever wins will have to earn it.

If he does it will be the first time all year.

What has amazed me about Joe’s stats are he is consistent across the board. Near 80% if blitzed or not. Short passes or over 20 yards in the air. Many have put up great numbers throwing slants and dump offs but Joe is putting up numbers over the entire field.

If you haven’t had time to watch LSU games, it would be easy to call me a homer and I am. If you don’t believe me, all the games are on you tube. Any fan of college football should enjoy watching a qb play at this level. If I’m dreaming please don’t pinch me at least until November 10 because I don’t want this dream to end.

That's not true.

He let one sail on Utah State that resulted in an INT

To me, it all boils down to what the Florida game boiled down to.

Can Auburn find success only rushing 4?? If the O-Line can handle 4 and keep borrow upright, I don't think Auburn's secondary is talented enough to stop the passing attack.
Burrow has been unbelievably dominant against blitzes this year, so not sure dialing up a ton of pressure is the key.

Also, Auburn's running game is legit, but that's the strength on Defense for this LSU squad.

If Auburn can establish a running game, control the clock, and put pressure on Burrow with 4, they will win this game.

Going to be another fantastic SEC matchup!! Can't wait.

I don't even know why I said that. Burrow is hot right now. Shame on me.

One thing our secondary does do well is tackle so stopping the slants and crosses for 5-7 yards rather than letting them bust for big plays will be key to staying in it.

One thing our receivers and back do well is break tackles.

How in the world does LSU have such a bad pass defense with all of that 1st round talent. I am not even trolling. Its mind blowing to me. Is it because the offense scores so fast?

Don't count on that. AU has been fantastic against the run, and at tackling this year...pretty good on pass rush and below average in coverage (and at times, BAD). LSU has the most accurate passer in college football and if he keeps it up, the most accurate passer in college football history. If he plays like he has been playing, there is no remedy for that. But get out of here with that "LSU gonna YAC" shite. No...LSU is going to get open a lot and Burrow is going to throw a bunch of Aaron Rodgers like bulls eye lasers around the field.

Yes that was the problem early on. Also our DL and best pass rushers have been hurt. We’ve let bad QBs pick us apart by giving them all day to throw. Our DBs are good but can only cover for so long.

The offense is finally slowing things down and the defense is getting healthy and starting to gel though. Guys like Marcel Brooks have emerged and vets like Justin Thomas have stepped up.
