LSU is already #2 behind Texas for hated teams for me.

I hope Texas A&M gets the Florida rivalry setup : UGA/LSU AND FSU/Texas

Very surprised that LSU would agree/want another forced rivalry and agreed to having a tougher opponent as there last game.

are you trolling or just young and ignorant?

I sure would hope so. It's only natural a rivalry will grow. That game will be absolutely huge in the national scope of things if aTm stays relevant

The Rivalry sure did grow A LOT in the 80's and 90's. If I recall, the recruitment of Harvey Williams really took it to new heights. But it was always exciting...

Thanks for the backhanded compliment. But every time we started a series LSU was up and A&M was down and then LSU failed to remain relevant

Reminds me of when A&M joined the Big 12 after leaving the cupcake Southwest Conference. They started off strong and then they were irrelevant. I expect the same in the SEC.

Oh great! Another forced rivalry. After this one ends what school will be next? Texas Tech, Memphis, Arkansas State, Houston, or Texas?

Didn't Arkansas beat LSU 3 out of 4 years and nobody gave a shite? I expect the same with A&M when they beat us.

Must be young. Were you born after the 90's ended?

I'm older now and I've got young kids. T+1 would be better for me personally.

I'm a selfish frick an y'all have seen my sway with my Ags. I'm currently trying to get my season tickets figured out for the new stadium. It seems as though there is a snafu and I don't have a suite. Unfortunately there are no assurances it will get fixed.

I just see this as a forced rivalry. We have played A&M two times in the last 20 years. Just no hate.

I was at College Station this past year. Texas A&M has the nicest fans I have ever been around. Nobody said anything negative to me at all. No smack talking, nothing. This A&M chick sitting next to me in the stands even asked if I would do that sway thing with the crowd before the game and I did it, lol. I hate to admit it but they had hot women and I pulled for them to beat Bama too. After seeing how nice the fans were I felt bad for hating them on here. I guess the idiots are on here and not at the games. I was used to being cussed out by the home team fans at: Bama, Auburn, Florida, and Ole Miss.

Heck, Sam Montgomery was lobbying for JFF to win the Heisman. Can you imagine the huge uproar from LSU fans if an LSU player did this for Cam Newton, Tebow, or Mark Igram? No way is LSU vs A&M any where close to being a rivalry. Right now it's just two good teams playing each other. That's it.

Nice post. Out of curiosity, how old are you? Do you remember or if you are too young, do you acknowledge that there was a very cantankerous rivalry?

If so, do you not think it won't return?

Just curious.
