This early in the year, we’re still experimenting

Coach uses midweek games to tryout new lineups and make changes in the field, kind of like practice. Plus they pitch their non-weeekend starters to get them some innings. It gets frustrating because even the backups should be able to win, but no one seems to care. If you mention it on our board, you're immediately attacked as a Negatiger, so everyone just bends over and takes it.

This is the largest team LSU has had in awhile and the pitching is actually the one strength.

You are a fricking idiot

Lmao 4-2 with losses to Nichols and Indiana, ppl already bitching about the weekend starters. But no one cares about midweek tho right?

Just go back to jerking pawl off on the rant and enjoy mediocrity from the best baseball program in the sec.

What a dumbarse. Again you are commenting on something you obviously don’t know shite about.

As someone who played at an in state school, this is 100% accurate. Playing LSU was a HUGE deal to us. Wanted to show them what they missed out on by not recruiting us. I grew up going to games at the Box, so it was more about playing well in front of friends and family for me and less about the “revenge” factor.
That being said, Louisiana is a baseball crazed, talent rich state. People seldom realize how big of a deal youth/high school baseball is here. Not everyone can get recruited to play at LSU, so a lot of talent ends up at Southeastern, ULL, Tech, etc. A lot of the losses have to do with just playing pretty good ball teams that can beat you if you’re sleep walking through.

In the grand scheme of things for teams like LSU losing a few midweek games doesn’t mean jack. To the fans though it’s a different story. Who likes to lose? Especially to an inferior instate school.
