You're right, it does sound made up. I would link it but not sure the admins would like that.

Either way, it's pretty easy to find

Well you haven't been to Omaha in over 15 years so I'm going to doubt that

Right now we are ranked #2 and hosting a super regional, so at the moment we are doing ok.

I think more so than that is our pitching was much improved in the regional. We gave away 23 free passes in Knoxville and it was still a 4 run difference over the 3 games.

We don't even have the same pitchers pitching that were pitching in that March series either. Hilliard was not starting and he's come on strong the last month of the season. Collier Cranford was starting at 2B and Beloso had been the DH. Bianco only played in one the games. Zach Arnold didn't play at all in any of the three games. There have just been a lot of changes to our lineup since then, and LSU was playing its worst baseball of the season in March. I'm not saying Tennessee hasn't gotten better since then, but they weren't playing poorly in March either. They haven't played poorly all season.

LSU went 13-17 in the SEC and yet here we are, in the same position as you guys in the post-season.

Good luck this weekend

It really doesn't matter where you're ranked once the postseason starts. If you were a national seed and miss the CWS, no one will remember or really care what you were ranked heading into the NCAAT. LSU was a national top 8 seed every year from 2012-2017. They made it to Omaha three times in those 7 seasons. Having a good team during the regular season is great, but none of it matters if you don't win when it counts. At this point, LSU and Tennessee have both achieved the same thing this baseball season...a win in the regionals.

I could literally find an exact comment on the tiger rant about LSU winning it all the second the regionals were announced. You guys are so sensitive I don’t get it

I understand that. But whoever I responded to was trying to imply that because we haven't been to Omaha in 15 years, we aren't good right now. I'm just saying that at the moment, based on some objective factors, we are doing pretty good. We'll see how it plays out.

Y'all have solid baseball and basketball right now. Hope you can keep the steam going on baseball. Your basketball program looks like it's showing no signs of faltering

What's the deal with Tennessee women's bb?

UT softball is pretty good and I saw your men's tennis made the final 4.

Going to be a great series.

Now it's going to be hard to beat that Tennessee team. They are business.

Eh, you may find someone making an insincere "win one for the gipper" post about winning it all, but most people on the rant thought we'd struggle to get out of our regional, much less make it to Omaha or win the whole thing.
