*The Tigers are back in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015 LSU, as the nine seed in the East Region, lost in the final seconds in its opening game to North Carolina State, 66-65.
*LSU is 24-24 in its 21 NCAA Tournament appearances In this century, LSU has appeared in the tournament in 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2015.LSU advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2000 and the NCAA Final Four in 2006.The Tigers appeared in what was then a Southeastern Conference record 10 straight NCAA Tournament in the years from 1984-1993. LSU has won its first game in the NCAA Tournament and advanced in 11 of the previous 21 appearances.
*LSU’s first appearance in the tournament was in 1953 when the Tigers advanced to the NCAA Final Four. That team under Harry Rabenhorst and led by Basketball Hall of Fame member and NBA legend Bob Pettit, defeated Lebanon Valley and Holy Cross en route to what wasn’t known then as the Final Four where the Tigers lost to Indiana, the top seed, in the national semifinals.
*LSU ranks in a tie for fourth in the SEC in NCAA Tournament appearances with 22, behind only 57 for Kentucky, 32 for Arkansas and 27 for Missouri.LSU went to the NCAA Final Four in 1986 as an 11 seed, the lowest to ever advance to an NCAA Final Four.
*Tony Benford will be the sixth LSU coach to coach a team in the NCAA Tournament joining Harry Rabenhorst (2 -1953, ’54), Dale Brown (13 – 1979, ’80, ’81, ’84, ’85, ’86, ’87, ’88, ’89, ’90, ’91, ’92, ’93), John Brady (4 – 2000, ’03, ’05, ’06), Trent Johnson (1 – 2009) and Johnny Jones (1 –2015).
*Speaking of John Brady who led the Tigers to the 2006 NCAA Final Four, he is back with the program in his second year as the color analyst on the LSU Sports Radio Network. Brady coached LSU for 11 years and took the Tigers to a Sweet 16 in 2000 and the Final Four in 2006. The Tigers were the four seed that year, beating Iona, Texas A&M, Duke and Texas en route to the Final Four.
*LSU has reached four Final Four, 6 Elite 8s and 9 Sweet 16s

-The Tigers are undefeated in the last two seasons when scoring 90 or more after the 92-88 win at Mississippi State (2/6). LSU is 6-0 this season and 9-0 starting with the 2017-18 season scoring 90-or-more. LSU is 16-1 this year and 26-4 over two seasons when scoring 80 or more.
-The game with Arkansas in a 90-89 loss (2/2) marked the only time this season that LSU has scored at least 80 points and lost. On defense, the Tigers are 13-0 when allowing less than 70 points this season.
-LSU’s scoring average of 81.4 is the best for LSU of any year since the 2002-03 season.

I'm pumped for this game. Tremont is the kind of player that makes a name for themselves in the tournament. Hoping for some magic.

Very nice analysis. I hope you do this for the other games as well, even though Ole Miss has a very embarrassing basketball history.

You literally made a thread about LSUs game the night before at midnight?
Why wouldn’t you just make one for Arkansas’s tournament ga....oh yeah..

Let's get this annual question out of the way:
What channel on DirecTV is Tru TV, TBS, and whatever other channels the games are on?

To add to your question, where can you stream these channels online?

Can you add something in the OP about the unjust suspension of Coach Wade and how impressive it is how he’s turned around this program so fast? From 2-16 to 16-2 in 2 years
