I am not sure why we expected you to learn from our mistake by hiring a position coach to be head coach if we make the same mistake twice in 15 years. For the rest of the SEC, go ahead and kick us out. I know we have deserved it for years, now is the right time to do it. We are paying a Sunbelt level position coach to be our Head Coach and the NCAA is coming in dry. Please just put us out of our misery.

Meh. Don't worry about it. We hired Mike Shula to get us through probation. Its nothing like LSU who actually thought O would win something

The problem isn’t that you hired a position coach to be head coach (Mizzou did the same), it’s that you hired an obese position coach. Lardasses like Bert and Luke are not welcome here.

No time to mess with ole miss right now. All focus is on the self-destruction of TN's once proud program. Ole miss isn't going anywhere, so we'll circle back to you later.

Despite the hire and even after the hammer comes down, your suffering will pale in comparison to that of the VolNation. For them, winter has truly come.

Actually he's won nine so far, with a lot of true freshmen contributing heavily throughout the year, and improving. If the team plays well in the bowl game, it will be yet another 10-win season at LSU.

Not bad for a position coach that lost to Troy at the beginning of the season. We thought it would be a disaster, and it has been far from it, and that's a credit to him.

I think Ole Miss did the best thing for the institution. Yes you are a member institution of the SEC and that, in and of itself, is reason why coaches will want to come to Oxford.

Having said all that, the NCAA sanctions that are coming are going to cripple the school. That is what sanctions are meant to do. Might as well take it in the arse and get it over with. You save money by keeping Luke there. Also that is "his" school. He will guide you through the rough times. 4 years from now when you are looking for a new coach (sanction free) you will be in a better spot financially. No matter who you hire, you're not going to be very good during the sanction period. Not trying to flame, just stating the obvious. I was a season ticket holder during the Shula year, I know.

Best Ole Miss could do at this time. Get through probation and then evaluate.

Probably not a popular opinion but having O at he helm this year was perfect timing. He was able to cut right through the SEC schedule (aside of State and Gumps) with the SEC imploding coaches. Ole miss down. Aggieland down. Bert down.

Had they been regular competition of the past we could’ve easily been sitting at 7-5 or worse.

Hiring Luke was the best thing to do to cut the transfer attrition IMO.

Maybe you guys get 3 more egg bowl wins the next three years. Maybe you don’t. But OM did what was best for the program right now.

Honestly,I think you were always going to remove the interim tag knowing he is an Ole Miss guy and the punishment that is coming. Pretty sure both sides know it's a temp hire to get through the storm.

You aren't going to get a big name in the midst of the Freeze scandal. I think everyone saw this coming and it's more of a placeholder until this entire situation finishes. Going to be a very long road ahead for Ole Miss.
