A lot of smoke that Panthers QB coach Jake Peetz is the guy
Never been a coordinator but he was in line to be the Colts OC before Josh McDaniels bailed on the Colts job. I'm fairly indifferent if he's the guy. I feel like this is an era of offense and nailing the OC hire is even more imperative than the DC. Its a gamble to hire a guy thats never been an OC, no substantive offensive concepts to evaluate and may be simply going back to the Brady well and hoping to replicate 2019. We'll see.

That would be 3 guys familiar with Joe Brady's system. Peetz, Callaway and Brady's right hand man, Mangus.

Has he ever called a single play?

Not saying I would necessarily hate this move, but it does seem risky

Underwhelming

Pretty much the consensus on here when Joe Brady was hired.

To be fair, Joe Brady never had prior to 2019 and many here say he ran the offense.

I guess that could work out but seems like a pretty risky hire.

I hope yall continue to hire people with no experience and claim that they could be like brady. What could go wrong?

Those 5 interceptions his QBs threw yesterday were super duper impressive.

Yea but we saw this past year that Ensminger was more than capable of calling a spread 90% of the time.
I wouldn’t say it’s far fetched at all that what O said during the 2019 season about Brady only calling 3rd down and RedZone was actually true.
This guy would have to call the whole offense, that’s not something I would usually feel comfortable with someone doing at LSU who hasn’t done it at all yet

Kind of where I am. He seems to be well thought of in NFL coaching circles. But there's just nothing to go on to say this would be a great here. I won't melt over it but its a definite wait and see deal.

I agree with you.
