And he didn't even get lsu, a team loaded to the gills with elite defensive talent, into the top 10 of any major defensive statistical category in 2017.
Total defense 12th
Scoring defense 14th
Rushing defense 24th
Passing defense 21st
Opponent 3rd down % 38th
Opponent red zone % 64th
Sacks 13th
Tackles for loss 60th
Interceptions 54th
Forced fumbles 102nd
These are not bad numbers but they are not elite numbers, and certainly do not indicate that kind of pay. Your AD is inept and you guys seem desperate. You could have had a&m paying you money and then gone out and gotten a promising young defensive mind elsewhere for a fraction of the price. Most competent DCs could have put up these same numbers with that roster.

Looks pretty solid considering offense and special teams were trash for us all season
Defense can't be on the field all day

Thanks for you interest in our program. It's like your team isn't playing for all the marbles in a few a days...

24/7 Daddy's in your head.

He’s also converting a depleted 4-3 defense to a 3-4 defense that fits his scheme

Typical Alabama fan. Never set foot in a college classroom.

Whew!! I was worried he was gonna leave.

Defense is fairly young and injuries affected our depth at the wrong times. When healthy, defense did very well. Next year we'll have very good depth along the lines which we'll need for the schedule we have.

You should never confuse education with intelligence

Posts such as these are simply remarkable.

Defense was insanely young and depleted through the first half of the season.
Your ignorance is forgiven, though, as you don't follow LSU and all you have to go by is total season stats.

Not bad for a broke program, eh?

Hmm. I thought LSU was obsessed with Alabama and Alabama didn't ever give LSU a thought.
Maybe with all of that extra money when LSU's on offense Aranda can be Orgeron's house boy and hold his drink for him.

LSU is the worthless daddy who thinks he does everything, but actually really does nothing.
Are you really this stupid to think your team is better and more accomplished than Alabama the last 10 years?

Bama was hurt worse by this than LSU but they seemed to have managed well I would say.
