And still managed three NC appearances with 2 wins.
Yes, the SEC and National Champioship go through Bama every year, but LSU recovered quite respectably.
We, LSU, play Bama, Auburn, Florida, TAMU, every year. Sprinkle in Georgia with at least one tough non conference game every year and you have, typically, not less than 6 ranked opponents annually.
Say what you want about LSU, but only one SEC team has faired better than LSU since 2006, and they happen to play in the same division of the same conference.
LSU athletics is not the dumpster fire some of you like to portray they are.

Unnecessary paranoidism is unnecessary

This is possibly the greatest moral victory in SEC history

It isn't paranoia when I'm actually being followed.

Ole Miss is like a tumor that ended up being a baby.
"Earl, there's a baby in the terlit!"

U referred to FB but you finished by saying LSU athletics. So FB is the entire athletic department?
And I agree your athletic department as a whole is fine. Top 3 in the SEC west. maybe top 2

Football is the measuring stick by which SEC fans gage success.

That's why I don't get the hate for Saban. He didn't leave for Alabama. He left for the NFL, failed and y'all had Les and another NC. Would've been hard to justify firing Les and bringing Saban back considering NO ONE could forsee his success at Bama. I mean he's got as many NC's at Bama as Bear in about half the time.
I think he's does it at LSU if the NFL doesn't come knocking. Everyone knew LSU was a sleeping giant and their lack of success was administrative incompetence and bad luck. Maybe I'm skewed because he was at Arkansas when hired, but I think Bo Rein would've elevated LSU to the top tier of CF. But back to Saban, who knows if LSU would've ever broken that glass ceiling and won the one he did or the ones that have followed? I mean, when was y'alls last NC before Saban? You guys were bascially Arkansas but with waaaaaaaay more talent. Not to mention tougher more football crazy kids. LA high school football>>>>>>>>>>AR's even accounting for population differences. Those of us that have seen ball played in both states see it. Tougher, faster, stronger, meaner.
If LSU ever gets it right, they'll unseat Bama. But damn! 2 NC since Saban left doubles y'alls entire output before him. fricking rich people problems. And played for another. I'll swap results with you guys anytime,

You realize they know this but just say that to get a ride out of you, right? Almost every program in the country would trade places with us. Clemson and Alabama are the only two that are actually better than us at the moment, program-wise.
