LSU fans aren’t opposed to it.

can't believe I'm saying this but LSU needs to leave the SEC. Those of you will run here and say money, TV contacts will be up and they will not be anywhere near what they are now. Get out ahead of it and get in the best situation. Enough is enough. frick this corrupt arse league.

quote:

It's the whole entity. The NCAA is allowing this to exist. I am personally convinced they have it down to a science what teams make the most money as a whole(market size, viewership, sales currency)and those teams are positioned for success.

quote:

we should at least talk to the B1G, and do it very very publicly, the SEC has to understand were not some battered wife. their academic standards would help us become one of the better schools in the south, and they would move heaven and earth to get a founding member of the SEC and foothold in the deep south. no other school that has moved even comes close to LSU. Nebraska has easily been the biggest name yet and they were well past their prime with a grim future, you cant fight the disadvantages they have forever. LSU on the other hand can be top 5 next year right where we are, who the frick wouldnt jump to get a team like that?

quote:

At least move to the ACC. It is easier to win in that league.

quote:

Big 12...they only have 10 teams and geographic with the teams in that conference its the better fit when it comes to travel...

quote:

I hate this corrupt, POS Conference! The only other conference we should consider is the ACC. I really would like to be independent, but I don’t think the Louisiana market could get us a good tv contract.

I would love to leave the SEC. I’m sick of the crap. Last night was nothing more than vengeful refs/Birmingham payback for being embarrassed by LSU

Yep. Scoring 72 and giving up 74 makes us a perfect fit for the Big 12

Do the fans make that decision? Do they think that punishes the conference? I mean the SEC would still be the best football conference without them. The only team leaving that would change that would be Bama, but we are perfectly happy with the conference we built.

Luckily, the actual University isn't as emotional and ignorant as the fan base.

That can’t be.
For seven years, Tigers have accused Ags of “running,” when we believed that a conference reaffiliation was in our university’s best interest.
Y’all are simply misunderstanding them.

LSU could certainly go independent.

Play a garbage schedule like Notre Dame does.

Make playoffs, and then get beat by 50+ by Bama.

This could happen every year and it would then get old to LSU fans too and they'll claim something else.

They don't want to run, per se... they just want to cry and use association fallacies.

Have any of the ref calls in question last night been verified as inaccurate?

Lots of close calls, but none that were proven to be wrong. Seems like to me, if anything, the refs went out of the way to make sure the calls were correct.
I know it just sucks for LSU fans that some of the calls seemed to go against them.

Maybe their most prominent supporter can lead the charge.
