If LSU loses, and Southern Cal wins their last two games and the PAC12 championship they could easily jump Tennessee for the fourth spot. I think the committee would like an excuse to not have two SEC teams.

We're not watching LSU, unless it's in the rear view mirror.

All they really are is a wall, keeping everyone under them from jumping us, and us having the head to head domination at their house.

LSU is our bitch, doing our work for us.

USC has UCLA, ND and most likely Oregon in the conf title game. If they win out then there shouldn't be enough reason to leave them out.

All 1 loss p5 conference champions will be above 10rc except BIG XII. TCU will have to run the table if they want in.

I'm not worried about anyone jumping us. The whole TCU thing is just a feel good moment that the committee extended to the lower tier teams with shltty schedules.

But no one has the resume we have.

And after another two weeks of total domination, there will be no doubt that UT is one of the top four teams in the country.

IF is USC is 12-1 with a Conf championship yet are 100% in the playoff. You can take that to the bank. It won’t even be a hard decision.

USC - 1 point loss at UTAh in a 2 point play to end the game. sound familiar? Offense scores over 40 points per game. Defense allows over 20 points per game. Would be a P5 champ. Not to mention it’s USC, the real one!

UT- 13 point loss at UGA, would have been a lot worse at the rain not come. Anyone who watched can tell you that. Offense scores over 40 points per game. Defense allows over 20 points per game. Would not be a division champ, much less a conf champ. IS NOT the UNIVERSITY of SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!

Maybe, but it would really undermine the championships games if a one loss p5 champ is left out for a one loss team that didn’t even win its division.

I would think TCU goes as Big XII champ in that scenario. The media already loves Dykes, too.

Conference championships don't mean anything anymore. Otherwise we wouldn't need a 'committee'.

It's about the top four teams. That's it.

But feel free to cry more.

How ironic would it be for Lincoln Riley's USC team to get into the playoffs and get boatraced by LSU in the semifinal

LSU is not a thought or a worry. UGA will beat them as bad or worse than UT beat them.

...and we would finish 11-1 and got to the Sugar or Orange Bowl.

Playoffs or one of those bowls. After the last 15 years. It's a win/win for us.

Enjoy your Gator or Belk Bowl.

If LSU and Tennessee miss the playoffs Tennessee goes to the Sugar bowl and LSU goes to the orange bowl. Idk what kind of retarded shite you are on.

With 10-11 wins you dumbass. The selection committee bowl games (new years six) are based off of CFP ranking and conference.

Sugar bowl always has the highest ranked sec non playoff team

Orange bowl always has 2nd highest ranked non playoff team

Cotton bowl always has the highest ranked team that isn't in a conference locked bowl or playoffs.

LSU beats Georgia and neither LSU nor Tennessee gets into playoff LSU goes to sugar bowl, Tennessee goes to orange bowl.

LSU loses to Georgia, and neither LSU nor Tennessee gets into playoff LSU goes to orange bowl, Tennessee goes to sugar bowl.

LSU loses to Georgia, and Tennessee gets into playoff LSU goes to sugar bowl, Alabama goes to orange bowl.

This is really fricking easy fam.

Or, if Michigan edges Ohio State in their game, OSU could drop to #4 and Michigan jump to #3 or #2 with TCU in there as well.

A lot can happen and UT still has a path, though.

LOL..I'm not sure you understand how any of this works.

Tenn will remain just outside the CFB until Ohio St. plays Mich. If there's a blowout, the lower drops below Tennessee. However, don't be surprised if its a close thrilling game, the lower drops to 4th in the CFB playoff. Either way, Tennessee will go no higher than 4th (at best) and then after the conference championships...BOOM! That's where teams will jump Tennessee.

Of course, depends on the conference championship results. What sucks is having to wait and depend on other teams, as opposed to controlling your own destiny.

Tenn would be a lock if they didn't look so bad against UGA. Had it at least looked competitive they would be sitting pretty. That was an ugly loss. UGA completely shut down Tenn offense and they couldn't score until UGA called the Dawgs off. For an offense that was averaging 50 pts/game...they were embarrassed on the big stage. To some people, thats the only game they watched of Tenn.
