Oh nice. Would you mind throwing the game against us if we make it there then?

Well, I don’t think we’d do that lol, but I honestly would hope he either sits or just pitches 3 innings and then give our bullpen some work. They’ve actually been better as of late and need more work for regionals etc.

Even so, I doubt coach Lemonis will let him run up a normal pitch count. We already locked up a top 8 seed and I heard he wants our pitching arms fresh going into the regionals.

Im ok with this. Omaha is the goal

We have nothing to gain in the Sec tourney outside of some bragging garbage

Don’t start this narrative... everyone knows good and damn well that state will be “up” to play LSU in the sec tourney. If they win y’all will brag about beating LSU and if y’all lose it’ll be “oh we didn’t care we’re a national seed anyways”

I can’t make you think a certain way. I’m only going off what I heard. We’ve lost a series to LSU before and won the Sec tourney but I like the way our coach thinks, lock up a national 8 seed and don’t stress our arms.

(Of course, having said that, who knows what money is in winning the Sec tourney. His contract is full of incentives like most coaches. I’d have to think winning a regional, a super has far more incentives.)

If they don’t then the person who structured his contract needs to rethink some things

Well, c’mon. Yes I agree with you, winning the Sec tourney probably has some nice bonuses built into his contract. Having said that, can you imagine what the incentives are for making the CWS or winning it all?

He has a base salary of like $600,000 with all kinds of incentives like total wins, how we finish in the west etc etc. I’m sure an Sec tourney title brings in a nice payday but if he is the coach I THINK he is, he’s not only gotten bonuses but his eye is on the regionals, Super then CWS. At least I HOPE I’m right about his priorities. We shall see tales.
