Earthquake game is number 1. Your number 2 shouldn't even be on the list. If the pass is incomplete, we kick a field goal

I think LSU has a frickton of close 4th quarter craziness because we havent known how to properly beat down an inferior opponent for years.

2005 Arizona State was one of the craziest and most bizarre football games ever, and it was only appropriate that it was Les’s first game here. “Home game” being played at Arizona State because of the hurricane while fans watched the game on the video board in Tiger Stadium. I’m pretty sure we ran a fake punt out of our own end zone and converted it for a first down. We then proceed to return both a blocked field goal and a blocked punt for touchdowns and score the game winner on a desperation pass from JaMarcus Russell.

The 1994 Auburn/LSU was crazy too. LSU threw 3 pick sixes, and a total of 5 or 6 inceptions and lost by only 4 with a chance to win at the end.

For the last time, it wasn't a last second pass while in field goal range. If the ball was incomplete we still would have had plenty of time for a field goal.

It's one of the most misconstrued things in LSU football history, even by our own fans

There was a single second left when the ball was caught. They did play it too close for comfort.

2002 Bluegrass Miracle 33-30

The only "crazy" ending on the list with the exception of

quote:

2010 LSU vs Tennessee (13 men on field) 14-10

Crazy in terms of the chain of events. I was mad then happy then sort of "meh"

quote:

2007 LSU vs Auburn (Threw last second TD pass while in FG range) 30-24

Great play call but we had a potential to kick the FG if the play did not work

quote:

2008 LSU vs Troy (overcame 31-3 deficit) 40-31

Good comeback but nothing crazy

quote:

2005 LSU vs Arizona State (Jamarcus Russel throws dime to beat ASU late after game was moved to Tempe due to storm) 35-31

Pretty happy to win, the game itself was crazy, ending was just a closure.

I would add:
2009 Ole Miss, the :01 Spike
2012 Clemson (4th and forever to lose to a GWFG)
2016 Auburn (Have game winning TD taken away as clock reached "O:00")

Honestly you didn’t even need to watch an entire LSU game. You could just tune in to the last 30seconds with Miles on the sidelines it was the most riveting thing I’ve ever seen. It was must watch TV. Then to be promptly followed by a peek at Tiger Rant. That was some of the funniest melts in CFB internet history. No one does it like LSU fans.

You could add 2004 Auburn. Pretty sure that was the only time in cfb history that call was made. The '06 refs said "hold my beer"

There were 4 seconds when the ball was caught. Then they let a few more seconds run off. Go watch the video if you don't believe me

I was deployed and had to watch the game on tape delay. I had avoided any news of the game so it felt “live” to me, but the other guys (who knew the outcome) came in to watch the ending with me.

When they “lost” I turned the TV off immediately. They had to turn it back on again or I would have missed the re-do.

Unfortunately, we should probably add 1994 Auburn to your list.

2010 against UF was pretty wacky as well. Fake FG behind the head toss that bounced right into our kicker’s hands and got us the first down. Then Lee threw a TD with less than 10 seconds left to put us up.

Also this was the week after the UT fiasco

Halloween Kick Return by Billy Cannon in 1959. Returned a kick off for a TD late in the 4th to make it 7-3. Then
quote:

After the touchdown, LSU kicked off to Ole Miss, which then drove down the field to the LSU 5-yard line. After three plays Ole Miss was at the LSU 1-yard line. On fourth down and the final play of the game, LSU defensive back Warren Rabb, with an assist from Cannon, tackled Ole Miss' Doug Elmore short of the goal line as time expired to preserve the 7–3 LSU victory.[9][13]

Say what you want about our Tigers, but it’s anything but dull to watch them play. I’ve seen so many crazy games in my short living.

I was there for that one. Sat in corner of end zone where TD play happened. When it went to replay I told my son we got this.

Had been going at it with a gator fan since before kickoff. He was on les's "chu" the whole game. Never missed a chance to put him down. Some woman got between us one time.

When replay confirmed TD that dude took off down the aisle like he was percy harvin. Did my best trindon holliday imitation. When I caught up I told him "my idiot just beat your genius, AGAIN. He didn't take it to kindly.
