It really looks like Orgeron is grasping at straws. Former assistant with Brady that has never called plays, and a DC from the Saints that has never done so either ...

Trying to catch lightning in a bottle before fired. Like I said, good luck!

Thank you for spelling lightning correctly. Before 2019 I didn't realize so many people had trouble with it.

Pros

His recruiting coordinator experience, prior CO-DC experience, and college experience all help.

But, he has a relationship back to working for Coach O at Ole Miss when things probably weren't that great, yet they want to work together again.

Trust and solid working relationships matter, too. It could be a very good hire in terms of chemistry.

Will be an interesting year in the SEC next year with all of the new coaches and staffs in year 1 and those entering their 2nd year.

Coach O is a great dude. He deserves success. I also like seeing him give chances to some younger guys and staying loyal to his former relationships.

Fairly happy with it, two first time coordinators is a risk but IMO much better than brining in a couple of retreads. Everything you hear about the guy from Saints and NC State fans is positive so

This is my feeling on it. Freeman would have been nice, but it sounds like that was never going to happen. Sometimes you have to take chances.

Believe EdO was his position coach at SC. They go back a long ways.
