I’m shocked. Not one LSU fan on here called for Joe Brady to be hired. He is pretty revered there and he might like pro football better but he would take the head coaching job at LSU I’m sure.

He was already there at USC when they fired his buddy Lane.
What other jobs were trying to hire Ed? Where was he supposed to go? Of course he wanted to be a HC again after being a DL coach.
Little different from already being a HC to going to another program to be HC.
I’ll keep waiting on all the schools that were lining up to hire ED as a HC.
Lane went to OM after Nutt and Hugh. He didn’t immediately follow Ed.
Also, Lane was at FAU and got about a $3M raise to go to OM.

He can't stand recruiting. Doesn't like the BS of it.

We're actually in a really weird spot. I think it's evident that Coach O is not a 10+ year guy, but then again, who is. He was exactly what we needed on the back of Les and gave us exactly what we wanted. All worth it too. Anyone who says otherwise is a complete clown. Unfortunately, the candle seems like it will burn out much too soon.
If we cut strings in the next 18 months, we are in a precarious position and you risk going down the Tennessee path trying to find a savior.
I'd take any defensive minded guy right now who is young (relatively) and proved his value.

- Brent Pry/Tim Banks

So LSU fans mock Texas A&M for signing Fisher to a 7 million per year contract but will be ok for signing a coach without a national title 9 million per year
