Your 2011 team was one of the best defenses I have seen in the SEC. That team is the second best in school history. If Burrow QB’s that team is it better than the 2019 team?

No.
They only threw the ball 19 times a game.

If they ran the 2019 offense, probably so.

Take the 2011 defense with the 2019 offense.

Simple answer yes

The simple answer is No. Only because Les was stubborn as hell.

Les was the coach. No way that offense would do much even with burrow.

Overall team better. Offensively, no and remember Les Miles would still be the coach. So how much better would Burrow have made us offensively?

There never has been and never will be a team that will be as good as the 2019 LSU team. Nothing even close! WE ARE LSU….the greatest of all time

My gut says yes but it was a completely different offense
While he'd have converted the on the patented Les Miles Run, Run, Pass (typically followed by a Punt in 2011) I don't know how he would have done in that Offense

100%
Look at the ppg for both seasons. Those defensive stats were Bama-esque that season.

absolutely. Even running Les Miles's shite offense it would have been enough to beat down Alabama in T-Town and there would have been no rematch. Thus we would have beaten the frick out of everyone.

What were your WRs like though. I'm assuming not Chase and Jefferson

If joe burrow was dropped into that offense he probably excels. Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry. Along with 3 good running backs. His deep ball backs off defenses and the running back thrive. The lsu defense creates short fields for him to work. Would have been fun to watch with burrow on 2011’s team instead of Jordan Jefferson

You could put Burrow or any quarterback you want on LSU's 2011 team. It wouldn't have changed anything because Les Miles had his quarterback and that was Jordan Jefferson. All Burrow would have done is collect splinters in his arse. Miles was either crazy like a fox or stupid like a dumbass. I go with the latter.

Landry and Odell Beckham were Chase and Jefferson before Chase and Jefferson
James Wright was another stud at wide out.

There would an argument that the 2011 team with Jefferson/Lee was better than the 2019 team with Burrow if (huge IF) we had beat Bama in the BCS game. That defense was that good.
On a separate topic, it is crazy to think how much the game changed in those 8 years. Especially when you compare the skill position players from Bama and LSU in 2011 to 2019.

Yeah, but they weren't contributors. They were freshmen. I could see blaming that on the QB if their stats were a little better, but they hardly were a factor at all and Randle had over 900 yards.
Chase and Jefferson did very little to nothing as freshmen also. I doubt Burrow would've made them incredible their first year.
