Why all the hate for a guy LSU desperately tried to hire 2 years in a row but just didn't have the leadership to get it done?
Word is that our AD wanted Jimbo to replace Sumlin. He contacted Jimbo back in September after the UCLA game. Way before the FSU season unfolded. This was in the works almost 3 months before anyone knew about it. No leaks and shite got sorted and done.
Yes, our AD knows how to do his freaking job. This is a textbook example of how you target, approach, negotiate, and LAND someone you want without every swinging dick knowing what is going on such as at Tennessee or with Herman last year.
Pay attention and you just might learn something.

Pretty sure the only difference is that A&M was willing to give Jimbo that ridiculous contract and LSU wasn't
