Appears he's helping out today at A&M's recruiting event. Nothing official about his hire yet though.

How many places is this guy going to pop up at, only to not get a job?

He's a glorified admin. assistant.

Hard to really tell what role he plays to be honest. Having him on staff is better than not, I’m just not sure the extent of his role.

He was essential in getting 5* CB/S/WR/RB/F-back/TE JaCoby Stevens.

He’s good at what he does but these past few months have given away his over inflated opinion of himself.
He’d be a nice addition wherever he goes

He can be valuable, but damn...the way he has handled his professional career is ridiculous. He’s at LSU, leaves to go to USCw, comes right back to LSU weeks later. Then leaves to go TN supposedly and that falls thru. Then it’s OM he is headed too and that crashes and burns too. He was always looking for the same job he had at LSU, but it was always not what he expected elsewhere. I lost a ton of respect for the guy over the past year, when he used to be one of my favorite on staff.

Guy has burned major bridges at LSU....and USC, Tenn and OM. Not sure who he thinks he is.
Supposedly good at his job, but he’s not more important than an assistant coach, at any position.

All hat no cattle. He has a talent for ingratiating himself and then overstaying his welcome. If you give me a dime, I will find you a dozen just like him. Not that I have an opinion.

Super overrated to be honest.
I would be happy to buy him for his real worth and sell him for what he thinks he is worth.
It would be a huge profit.

He was the greatest recruiter ever (but yet only recruited one player) until leaving LSU then instantly became an overrated loser.

Never got all the fuss about him from the LSU message board diaper brigade.
The proof's in the pudding.
How many SEC West/SEC Championships did LSU win in football while he was there?
Zip.....Nada.
He didn't make an actual difference.

He got built up by fans as being super valuable to the staff. Then he leaves and nobody could tell any difference. I’m sure he is good at what he does but I don’t think what he does is worthy of talking about tbh.

This
But to add, the way he handled the Tennessee situation left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. He basically just bailed LSU without notice to go take over the same job at UT...but turns out he did this without even having a contact in place at UT. So that falls thru and coach O says frick You when he wants to come back.
Then he's supposedly interviews for the same job at Ole Miss and something happens and it falls thru. Then he's left sitting out in the cold until this news with A&M. I think he did a good job at LSU and whoever gets him will probably be better off for it...but it's hard to understand where his mind has been or what he's been up to, to frick up all these interviews.

Former LSU commit and 5 star OT Kenyon Green committed to the Ags today, and Austin Thomas is working the A&M camp.

It's really strange how he left and the came back.. Then he leaves again, but the job wasn't even assured.. then he kind of went missing with no job for a bit here?
Interesting to see his name come back up again.

He backed out of the Ole Miss job, and they were pissed at him. He wanted more power than Pruitt was willing to give him. I have no idea what the arrangement is between he and Jimbo, but Jimbo is not one to give away a lot of power. Sumlin was a CEO coach, but Fisher is a coach who retains controls of the details. We'll see how it goes.
