Try and be honest. Do you wish he was still your defensive coordinator?

I don't know, I just know we are still going to beat the shite out of A&M

ITT LSU fans discuss the expected result vs A&M and not their DC situation

This year? Maybe. It's all relative though.
Having Chavis' scheme with improved DL play would've been nice. The players are struggling with consistently playing zone coverages and communicating the plays to each other which was expected with a new DC. Overall, I think Steele's recruiting efforts have been a huge positive and the plan he has laid out for the future of that side of the ball is clear and concise. I think once the players are in the system for a while and learn the scheme they will be dominant.

You don't know if you miss Chavis or not? Was the question too complicated?

No, he was masking Les. Now we can finally get him out of here and get a real coach just like y'all have always feared.

Chavis was stale like most of the rest of the coaching staff here, he wasn't earning his keep either, ESPECIALLY leaving us dry in his own coaching position.

Lulz no.
We would have still had problems stopping the run.

No. It doesn't matter, tbh.

Does Chavis coach O-Line?

Les is the greatest coach in LSU history and yall want to fire him

Absolutely not. Half of our problem is our weak front 7. Geeh, I wonder who was responsible for assembling that talent? Pretty positive Chavis and Brisket Brick.
I'm not exactly blown away by Steele's coaching, but right now he's far from our biggest ptoblem. He deserves a year to get his system in.
I'd give him a b- right now. LSU wouldn't have beaten Florida with Brick Haley's front 4, so I don't think LSU would be in any better position with chavis.

Yes. Steele, at least thus far, appears to be a downgrade. So many defensive communication issues. I know our DL is very thin, which is not something we're used to, but still something is missing.

Chavis was part of 11 losses in three years. Now 14 in four years. What do you think?
Posted on 11/16/15 at 2:31 pm to Hugh McElroy
It's his fault LSU's defense is without any depth

nah, he just rode Saban's coattails and players to a title and has basically been coasting since 2008. Got lucky with honey badger who was one the bigger individual gamechangers in recent cfb history
