Does LSU's Defense actually stand a chance at stopping Lamar Jackson?

Maybe 39 points. Just outscore them.

Not having Beckwith out there will certainly hurt us with containing Jackson.

I think we will be fine though.

It doesn't matter how good Jackson is, LSU is going to be in the backfield all day. Louisville's line is garbage and Jackson won't have any time to create something

Absolutely. He's fumble prone and the defense has the speed to contain him. UofL's offensive line has regressed throughout the season. I think Houston sacked him 11+ times. UK got him for 3 and had something like 8-9 tackles for a loss so they got into the backfield too. There's no good reason LSU's DLine shouldn't get a big push in the trenches.

I hope so but DW doesn't have the experience Beckwith brings

I understand that. I'm not suggesting a player like Beckwith won't be missed.

Missing Beckwith hurts, but where they really get exposed without him is against the power run at the middle. Thankfully, that isn't Loserville's strength. With more time to scheme around his absence, I'm confident Aranda will put the right guys in the right positions. Remember, he only had 5 days between the UF game and A&M to make adjustments.

Kentucky outscored UL, LSU will have a much better defensive showing. I doubt UL scores more than 17. LSU wins by at least 10.
