Ole Maurice went from playing in the playoffs to playing the in the Liberty Bowl for the Fighting Kirby's....and his last play in regular season was the GT wideout running over him for the winning TD. F him.

Smith's transfer to Georgia may have been a test case, but if not for that one another would have come along shortly. This change in transfer rules is part of a broader movement to give players more control over their lives and limit the power of wealthy/successful football programs.
Those may be laudable goals, but transferring with immediate playing time is a bad way to go about it, IMO. We'll see how it plays out.
