Against Florida and Auburn. I think that trend will continue against Alabama. When was the last time Alabama gave up over 500 yards on offense? Been a while. Even Clemson didn’t hit 500 when the beat Bama in the championship

2016 Ole Miss - 522 yards on 73 plays (7.15 YPP)

2015 Clemson - 550 yards on 85 plays (6.47 YPP)

2014 Ohio St - 537 yards on 78 plays (6.88 YPP)

2014 Auburn - 630 yards on 90 plays (7.00 YPP)

2013 Texas A&M - 628 yards on 71 plays (8.85 YPP)

2018 Clemson didn't get 500 yards but they averaged 7.65 YPP, which is the 2nd worse performance we've given up behind Manziel in 2013

Well being what alabama's defense is this year that is not really bragging rights. Nick marshall and company did put up well over 600 against a much better bama D and guess what... still lost the game.

Moral is yards dont win games nor matter. Points do

Congrats.

Maybe, if you lose 48-30 to Bama, but have more yards, it will even things out for you.

That was not a much better D. That D couldn't cover a cold in the back end and had no pass rush. Probably the least athletic and talented D of the Saban era, and it showed against Auburn and Ohio St.

This year's D gives up yards but not in bunches. It just has issues getting off the field.

In 2016 Bama beat Ole Miss by 5
Clemson 2015, Bama won by 5
2014 Ohio St, St won by 7
2014 Auburn, Bama won by 11
2013 A&M, Bama won.

The difference in the games they won was Bama won the turnover battle. That will be huge in this game.

278 rushing for Ole Miss in that game stands out to me....they gave up 31 points in the 2 quarter so that doesn't speak to game flow..maybe just a terrible QB is why.

Few things happened that game

(1) They ran read option with Plumlee, something that we weren't entirely prepared for. Combined Plumlees abilities and our raw inexperience at LB and that caused some real issues

(2) When the game entered garbage time (Alabama up 28+ in the 3rd), Ole Miss had 10 pts and was averaging 3.71 YPP and 3.57 YPA rushing. Once the game was way, way out of reach, Ole Miss scored 21 pts on 6.89 YPP and ran for 6.14 YPA.

So basically, the first half of their plays when the game was close

- 10 pts
- 152 yds on 41 plays (3.7 YPP)

The second half of their plays when the game was a blowout

- 21 pts
- 324 yds on 47 plays (6.9 YPP)

How is that going to do you any good when you give up 700 to bama's offense?

why not? Your defense is awful, Bama's offense is great. You tards think you are going to run and throw all over our d (which is better than yours) but our offense (which is at least as good as yours) won't do the same or worse to you? fricking delusional corndogs
