He's a name that's popped up to replace Herb Hand at Auburn. Looks like he had solid tenures at both LSU and UGA.

And he was basically run off from both jobs
That's been so long ago.
Not best technician as oline coach that I remember.

Seems odd he'd be run off at UGA, but Richt hired him again at Miami

Why was he run off at LSU?

UGA had 3 seasons where they had the fewest sacks in the country under Stacy. He also put plenty of OLinemen in the league at LSU.

How did they compare with pass attempts per game during that time?

He's no Will Friend, and he's no Sam Pittman.

Not quite sure but richt was normally pretty balanced on offense. Auburn threw the ball 51% of the time last year if that helps.

He did a great job with UGA's OL in his first season (2007). Started 2 true freshmen and a RS freshman and they were great during the latter half of the season.

But the line play regressed each year he was here despite having a number of NFL starters on it (Cordy Glenn, Clint Boling, Ben Jones).

I'd have to say average.

The guy is an average Oline coach.

not bad, but nothing to write home about.

He’s a good offensive line coach wouldn’t say he’s great but he’s good. A very good guy though

For UGA, he had a reputation as a good technician and coach, but he did not have a good reputation recruiting. Lots of big name linemen placing us 2nd or 3rd on their final choices.

It's not just odd, it's not true.

He left when Jimbo left in 2006. Jimbo hired him under Saban and with Jimbo leaving to go to FSU, he decided to move on as well.

He left UGA because Mac Brown doubled his salary at Texas.

I'll echo some of the UGA posters, he is an outstanding person.

Someone already said it but worth repeating, we whiffed on many OL probably prospects in State. I think he knows how to coach up an O line, but struggles in the recruiting trail. Very glad we have Sam Pittman now.
