I would never hire ED O, so I'd like to think otherwise.

Your assessments are that of poor opinion, there is a reason he got the gig and it involves Aranda and Canada

Meanwhile your coach is 10-22 in the SEC and 25-26 overall. How does it feel to pay a guy $800K per win over all and $2 million per SEC win. He is in year 6 and never finished above 3rd in the west.

I hope you are right and he should be good with the talent and coordinators. My point was that many LSU fans applauded the hire simply because he's from the bayou and they seem to think that equates to winning games at LSU which is ridiculous. He if would have been hired at another big SEC program these same people would have laughed at the hire. I loved the fact that O was on the staff as a recruiter and D line coach but I never dreamed LSU would make him HC after firing Miles.

So does big Bert call yalls offensive and defensive plays for y'all? Or does he step in certain situations crucial to the game?

Exact same thing Orgeron will do. So your statement would hold true for any team, including Bama. You guys are just mad that LSU actually has some great coordinators now, and know that they will elevate the LSU program, highlighting our great athletes we have stocked. I'll bet that this defense will be just as good, actually better in one key area then last years defense. That area is key to all championship caliber teams.

In LSU's recent history, when we've had good coordinators on offense and defense, the team looked very dominant. While its to be determined how Canada will perform as OC at LSU, it's safe to say that it's a major upgrade over Cam's offense.

Canada also significantly raised the points per game of the previous two programs he coached with. These programs are not known for defense like LSU is, so they lost games in which his offense performed at a very high level. Theses programs also aren't known for the athletes that LSU is loaded with. What gives?

Well your post was so ignorant, there was way too much to say at first but how about my real response? I couldn't help but laughing out loud as soon as I saw it. So I posted my emotion right away.

-Gave Les raise and contract extension after Jeff Long allegedly offered Les the Arkansas HC job at end of '12 season.

-Were set to fire Les in 2015 until Les beat A&M and was carried off the field. They changed their mind during the game.

-Fired Les just a couple games into the '16 season because he lost two close games away from home against two good teams.

-Put all their eggs in the Herman basket, a guy with just a couple years experience having above average results at Houston.

-Allowed Herman to string them along, then when he went with Texas they rushed into hiring O to try to save face.

Great job on this thread. You are a wise person with many enlightening and important things to say. Very current and informative. I've never heard any of these complaints. Just to be clear, Arky would give their first born for our staff. The staff that we have. Right now. At LSU. That's something that's actually real and current but who cares about the season starting in a few weeks amirite? Les miles and corn dogs and stuff

PS- LSU is going to beat that piggie arse this season. Will you start another les miles thread before the game ends?

There was a school in Arkansas that have given the coaches a chance: Nutt, Petrino, fat Bert, and that crazy son of a bitch John L Smith. Lololol. Hog fans are freaking delusional haha.

Matter of fact most LSU fans say he's in a "CEO" position. Like the face of LSU. This to me means he's not the one who is actually winning, but it's his coordinators. And quite frankly no one knows how Canada will do. Also look at Aranda. If he's such a god why did he not get the job over Ed O? Watch for his stats to regress this year.

Les Miles was also a CEO type coach. Elite recruiter, good motivator. Not much with Xs and Os or time management. But he won a natty, played for another, and never won less than 8 games in 11 years. And if he had done what it appears O is doing (let his coordinators do their jobs) he'd still be rollin. Coach O will win 10 games this year, and one of them will be you.

Dude, you have some serious penis-envy of LSU. I know arky is jealous of us and wishes they could have our football program but damn this is sad.

That game caused Arkansas to switch their entire defensive structure, and it still won't help when he plays teams like LSU, Auburn, Bama, hell even State, A&M, and possibly Ole Miss as well. Your defense needs help and switching to the 3/4 will NOT help you this year. Sorry Arky but the game is in BR this year and O has these baws ready to rip.

His Ole Miss tenure didn't go well for him, no doubt but this is 2017 @ LSU and the man knows where he's at now.

Arkansas hired John L. Smith, Houston Nutt and Brett Bielema. Arkansas also hired a basketball coach who called the hogs then quit.

Lmfao, the Razorbacks lost an opportunity to close the gap on the Big three in Sec West. While it was a chit show at LSU this past year. What has Arkansas done to close in on LSU this past year or so? Bert basically has you guys stuck in neutral and you are worried about LSU?
