How is the #5 team in the country only a 2 point favorite?

at judging LSU by the spread. LSU may be the team least likely to ever cover a spread no matter how good they are.

Yeah, and Southern Miss took us to the end of the 4th quarter so you may want to use a different barometer.

This is the correct answer. Florida showed signs of life with their win on the road @ Miss State. Add to that, regardless of how good/bad the teams have been over the years, this game has almost always been a one score game for over 10 years.

I'm using the barometer that Vegas isn't in the habit of guessing who's better and by how much. They're in the business of making money by teasing lines to their favor.

regardless of your opinion about how good LSU is (shocking btw you think they're overrated), they have earned their current ranking as much as anyone has at this point in the season. It's not like LSU started the season highly ranked and have stayed put simply because they have skated by cupcakes (looking at you Clemson). LSU moved up because they beat two top 10 teams away from home, bottom line.

BTW, not sure why you think LSu would be overrated. They were not favored against Miami or Auburn, yet beat both teams. They were two score dogs to Auburn, actually. So if anything, maybe they were underrated to start the season.

Apparently they dont know LSU

But it isnt Vegas actually. LSU was clearly extremely undervalued so far this year. The public still hasnt adjusted

So if the #5 team is a tiny favorite over an unranked team then common sense would say you load up on the #5 team and make lots of money.

However, we all know LSU isn't actually the 5th best team this year.

And you would have been rich if you did that with LSU this year. They are blowing up the spread
