To reduce the impact of the computers, because the computers repeatedly cocked up the results.

Because then it would be harder to backdoor Alabama

I'm not sure what made you despise the computers, but with humans there will be greed and malice. Computers have formulas written by humans...It would be a competent assessment of variables, that are dictated validity by a committee. There would be no room for bull crap manipulation, upon the final rankings. It would simply be presented.
I think there is less of a difference here, than most have realized; including myself. Just a lot of selfish people making selfish decisions.

Computers can't watch games. When you're dealing with 130 teams playing, at most, 10% of all possible opponents it is impossible to make useful, objective comparisons. Subjectivity is not only preferred, it's required.

It's not that I disagree with that, all great points; it's just the corruption that presents slight indifference.

Now that the coaches are out of the formula, and with the committee's recusal policy, I think corruption is not as likely as some fans desperately want to believe.

Because the computers still had Oklahoma ranked #1 even after they got blasted by Kansas State. USC was #1 in both the AP and Coaches yet #3 in the BCS.
