Yeah I know they’ll play it every other year but it’s still bullshite. There’s absolutely no reason for LSU to have aggy or ole miss over the gators. And it’s not like Florida wouldn’t prefer to keep it as well. I actually don’t understand the thought process.

We play every other year. It’ll be alright. If anything, it’ll make the game even more exciting the years we do play. With conference expansion, it was inevitable that something had to change.

Yep. Even if both teams stink, been some fun games and tough battles. I still want to make the trek to DV for a UF/LSU game

Nope. One of Florida’s permanent opponents is Oklahoma. They are geographically the farthest SEC schools from each other.

I haven't seen anything in the news, and frankly it seems a bit early. But has something been decided at this stage already? Not finding credible links online is something of specialty of mine as I have rather subpar googling skills. Maybe somebody can provide one?

maybe, except y'all are the most important game to them

come on baw, this statement right here is just silly - I am pretty confident that you know better than this...

UF vs LSU is a fun game, but it is one of Florida's least important rival games

the UGA game is going to be the most important SEC game for most Gator fans

after that? my guess is that most Florida fans would want Auburn

and then LSU may be next up in a fan vote, South Carolina and Oklahoma are 2 teams most Gators would say they don't care about as "rivals"

but Ole Miss would be the #1 choice of MOST LSU fans...

I’m fine keeping Ole Miss because tailgating wise that’s always one of the most fun weekends of the year no matter where the game is.

I do wish we’d get Florida or Auburn back in place of A&M.

Maybe those over the age of 60.

I don't mind playing Ole Miss every year, but it would not have been one of the three that I'd have picked.

Geographics?

Gainesville is a little further from Baton Rouge than College Station, Tuscaloosa and Oxford, but it's not excessively so.

Then they wouldn't have matched up UF and OU annually.

There is a 247 mile difference from Baton Rouge to Tuscaloosa and BTR to Gainesville.
300 mile difference between Oxford and Gainesville to BTR.
230 mile difference between College Station and Gainesville to BTR.

I mean that is significant for fans who want to drive...but I get why you would want Florida over Ole Miss in particular. Years ago, Ole Miss was a big rivalry for LSU, but that passed a long time ago.

I love the game, but still feel like Florida prioritizes Georgia, Tennessee, and obviously Florida State over LSU as its rivals.

I’ve actually had many Florida fans tell me they’d rather play Auburn annually as opposed to LSU.

This is the one that would not make sense. 912 miles?

But this is just a guesstimation from somebody, right? It isn't a done deal, is it?

It’s my favorite game of the season and I’m pissed we are losing it, but it’s not a rivalry.

That being said, I think Florida would have rather kept lsu than have Oklahoma as their permanent opponent.

Oh well

Absolutely not. Most lsu fans would say

Bama
Auburn
Florida
Arkansas/ole miss/aTm

In that order

Have they announced a final plan that I missed, or is everyone still melting about one of the dozens of plans still floating around?

No. Talked to a person in the know on Sunday and they said there in nothing finalized and there are actually a few scenarios still on the table. Said there would be final decisions made in Destin. Said there is basically so much disagreement on it that they don't know how its gonna go. There's even presidents that want to keep divisions. Same problem they ran into last year while in Destin.
