Credit to Farmer for finding these gems

quote: geauxcoco re: Bo Pelini expected to be LSU DC at $2M per year Posted on 1/27/20 at 1:21 pm Pelini has been bidding his time waiting to get back to a big program until Nebraska got done paying him. Has anyone seen the absolute shite show Neb is now that he left? What a dumpesterfire. His D's were sick here and I can't wait to see him back in action with all of this ridiculous talent.

quote: Tiger on the Rag re: Bo Pelini expected to be LSU DC at $2M per year I approve of this message. Pelini is intense and expects his players to play with the same intensity. I look forward to his crazy blitzing as well.

quote: LSU Patrick re: Bo Pelini expected to be LSU DC at $2M per year Posted on 1/27/20 at 2:16 pm quote: His D's were sick here They were. I went back to look at the recruiting classes during those years, and there wasn't as much defensive talent as I expected. Pelini's defenses were as good statistically as Aranda's with less talent. This was a good hire.

quote: ImayGoLesMiles re: Bo Pelini expected to be LSU DC at $2M per year Posted on 1/27/20 at 2:54 pm What's so funny? He's known for having great defenses and has proven his worth at LSU in the past. This is a very solid hire by orgeron once again. Our defense is going to be stellar with the talent we have and pelini coaching them up. I'm actually excited bc I thought LSU was missing some agressiveness this season with our defensive playcalling. Bo is going to bring pressure for damn sure and always has been known for having dominant defensive lines. This is a great hire, like I said. Idk why it's so funny that we are paying him 2 mil a season? He's definitely a proven DC, winning a natty at LSU in the past. Geaux tigers.

quote: FreddieMac re: Bo Pelini expected to be LSU DC at $2M per year Posted on 1/27/20 at 4:15 pm This is a home run hire for LSU. I remember those Pelini defenses. They were talented and very aggressive. Dorsey was an absolute MONSTER up the middle. Match that defense up with LSU's new offensive scheme, LSU will be in the hunt baby.

quote: memphisplaya re: It’s plug in and play at LSU now Posted on 1/27/20 at 8:05 pm quote: 8-4 next year Even if the 1st part was true, you're a damn retard if you think LSU wins less than 9-10 games next year.

quote: genuineLSUtiger It’s plug in and play at LSU now Posted on 1/27/20 at 7:46 pm Tweak the system a little to your coaches and player’s strengths and a dynasty is born. quote:

quote: FreddieMac re: Bo Pelini's Nebraska defenses in the Big Ten & Youngstown defenses in the MVC Posted on 1/27/20 at 3:55 pm Haha all I remember is that Pelini has some aggressive and very good defenses. Glen Dorsey was recruited and developed by Pelini. He was a monster that killed opposing offensive lines. Pelini is a high energy guy and a good DC. Great hire for LSU. Hell, LSU made Chaves look like the best DC in college football for years. LSU gonna be good next year.

quote:

quote: BK785 re: Bo Pelini's Nebraska defenses in the Big Ten & Youngstown defenses in the MVC Not concerned with his defense at all. I'll ban bet that LSU allows less than 41 pts to Bama this upcoming season....

quote:

quote: Wtxtiger re: Bo Pelini's Nebraska defenses in the Big Ten & Youngstown defenses in the MVC One of his last years here, the LSU defense knocked out four starting quarterbacks in a row and another one later in the year. His LSU defenses were nasty and hit the shite out of opposing players. They destroyed people. They were the hardest hitting teams in LSU history and played with a mean streak, trying to tear the heads off ball carriers and went after quarterbacks like a tomahawk missile. Motherfrickers running slants across the middle were decapitated and running quarterbacks were hunted mercilessly and attacked with a vengeance, installing fear and terrorizing them as ball carriers. I can’t wait to see them make Mond cry.

quote: GeauxLSU4 re: Bo Pelini's Nebraska defenses in the Big Ten & Youngstown defenses in the MVC Posted on 1/27/20 at 9:59 PM I agree. All of the former players love him and his scheme. Let the tards on here have their fun. We heard the same thing last year when we hired Joe Brady.

*Bo Pelini is currently on pace to have statistically the worst defense in college football history

That’s amazing.

I didn’t save many of the “Ensminger is the brains of the offense and calls the plays” posts when Brady left, but I should have. Those would have been fun, too.

Ed is a likeable guy, but let’s not pretend he’s the mastermind.

I am one of the guilty people who was happy to have him. I always wanted to go back to the 4-3 defense where our dline harassed the quarterbacks. I kept thinking of the 2005-2007 defenses we had and not thinking about how much e game has changed since then. It has been a disaster and I’m ready to clean house.

I guess this is fair considering how often you were wrong about LSU and got called out for it. Hope you feel better now.

How can that be when we aren’t even the worst defense in the conference? (Ole miss is btw)

I’m by no means a pelini apologist and admit that I was very wrong about him.

First I have to say this is a serious question.

Were there really people who said that ensminger was the innovator of the saints offense that brady taught him? If so ,there an idiot . All I've seen is people talk about the fact that hes gonna continue to run that offense with brennan. Which he did and brennan was only bad for a half and somehow on 3rd down for a game that he threw for almost 400 yards in. The offense changed once Myles got hurt. But check the stats ,coach e has had a pretty good offense while at lsu before brady it was ok it got better with brady installing that system.

I think were 20th or 25th in the nation in offense currently ,1st last year, decent in 2018 ,2017 was canada ,2016 interim was Steve and after he took over ,we broke team records of yards in a game against Missouri with that shite cam Cameron left him.

Pelini has sucked but ensminger has done a Damn good job protecting our frehman qb and was real good with brennan. Let's give him more respect then the others

Was there really people who thought ensminger installed the offense weve ran since last year? I just saw people saying what the playcalling situation was

I can't really complain about Ensminger much.

He catches a lot of flak from the type of fans who blame everything on playcalling and nothing on execution.

And I’ll pass the credit on to SoG. I tried to bump his thread, but for some unexplainable reason it was anchored.

Except he won’t. Lsu pays him about a quarter M a game this year. He’s fully guaranteed for 3 years. 6.9 M to get out of the deal.

Woodward really screwed up. Glad he’s long gone.
