Given your background, you will find this part interesting. Back then, most TAMU grads went to the Reserves after graduation bc the interwar Army was so small. He actually returned to active duty during the summer of 1941 (months before pearl), because an active duty friend of his was able to get him called up in expectation of the war, so that he would have additional seniority when the ballgame started and everyone else got called up.
People who think the United States were sitting pat and not preparing to enter the war … are not well informed.

I know this is a common joke to make about schools, but I actually don't know very many people who are LSU fans who didn't graduate from LSU or have children who graduated from LSU.
