Tbh Memphis is a cute little city, considering it’s West TN, to spend a few days if you have money and can avoid rubbing elbows with the locals as much as possible.
I would place it somewhere around 6-8 on my official Tennessee city power rankings. Of course it’s behind the Big 3 (Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville), and 2/3rds of the TRI (Bristol is meh). Depending on your interests, West TN’s crown jewel is probably neck and neck with the RED capital of the world, Gatlinburg imho

I moved to Midtown Memphis about 6 months ago. I really enjoy it.

Midtown and downtown are going through a bit of a revival right now. Midtown is great for the 25-35 crowd right now. A lot of people are starting to be priced out of Nashville and they’re relocating here. Now’s a good time to grab property.
