2019 LSU beats Bama 46-41 in a thrilling well-earned hard-fought win in Tuscaloosa.
LSU fan: Look we just had the greatest season ever. No one will ever top that. Burrow is the GOAT. Indeed they are dominating national champs beating a decent Clemson team.
*They was getting that gat.
But you can see the cracks (and it's ok, nothing's perfect) ...
An old complainer and n'er do well LSU player is caught giving money to players. On the field. In the locker room.
Instead of prepping for a 2020 title defense, the "corch" spends that time prepping with the gals at the community swimming pool.
2020 The world: Bama just topped LSU's greatest season in probably one of the worst possible seasons to do it in (due to Covid over-paranoia affecting the world). And they played the toughest schedule ever while doing it without the benefit of playing tune-up games against Utah State and New Mexico State. LSU has one of their worst seasons ever. Bama beats them 55-17 in very embarrassing fashion.
2020 LSU fan: But, look at 2019.
Beginning of 2021 ...
Bama fan: Man, I can't wait to A day game. Look at the recruits we brought in. Oh btw, Georgia is going to be good!
LSU fan: But, look at 2019.
... also ...
LSU fan: But, 2020 was an asterisk.
Well into 2021:
Bama fan: We'll probably have a down year but should be competing for the SEC West and who knows, if we get some breaks, we would still win the SEC over a potentially great Georgia team.
LSU fan: But what about 2019???
Advice: Don't live in the past. It's a bad look. This guy knows it and he regrets it now.
Don't thank me though. I just care about you. I used to pimp straight up but now I pimp for the Lord!

The only team that had significant opt outs was LSU.
And those guys just didn't want to play for LSU, so it was more about the team culture.
How many of the 45 points Alabama scored in the 1st half do you think those opt outs would have made a difference in?

Absolutely none. An arse whipping was coming no matter who was out there for the corndogs. The way their head coach and fanbase crowed about 2019, it was full on RESTORE ORDER time.
