He's really, really bad. I would have thought he'd be so much better given his personality, but it's like he struggles to formulate a coherent thought any time he's not stating the obvious.

The guy has been around big time college football for 40+ years. You'd think he'd have valued insight to offer, but he's just not doing it so far.

didn't hear that from me. mine would have been more like

"how could an SEC power like LSU get rid of the winningest coach in your program's history and not end up with someone better than Ed?"

I think this is why LSU fans are happy he's gone.

To me though they should've just let him finish the season, and had an agreement for him to retire.

Les in my opinion is one of those people who truly loved what he did. He just couldn't meet what was expected out of him anymore.

He does seem lost and I feel bad for the dude

When he was at LSU I had to quit watching his pressers and his shows because you could not get any coherent info out of them. They would just frustrate you. If you wanted pertinent info on the game or team you had to listen to your trusted local sports pundits...

Have you actually ever heard him give an interview? That's how he is.

I wouldn't feel too bad for him. He's probably going to be your next head coach soon..

Media never seemed like his strong point. Dude is a politician, great at shaking hands and kissing babies. He could meet someone and make them come away liking him.

He's not too bad as long as you can see his facial expressions and gestures.

Just on the radio might be bad.

I noticed last night on the espn coaches corner stream that he was a bit uncomfortable, but like someone said,I'd probably love the guy in person.

Y'all need to cut him some slack...

quote:

On December 24, 2001, while Les Mileswas head coach at Oklahoma State, he underwent brain surgery to remove a cyst that was creating fluid buildup and pressure. He returned to work a week later. Les Miles took a jog one morning that mid-December. He returned home with a tremendous headache and feeling nauseated. When the headache did not go away, he saw a doctor in Stillwater, Okla. Then he saw a doctor in Oklahoma City for an MRI. He was told there was a cyst on his brain causing intracranial pressure and a buildup of fluid. Surgery was needed to remove part of the cyst.
