The correct answer is Spurrier, but it feels like you trolled yourself.

You left off Ed Orgeron's win with Clemson last month.
LSU fans are claiming it, therefore we should allow credit go to Ed, as well.

Paul Dietzel better than Miles. Took the program from nothing to a Natty in 5 years.

Spurrier had to deal with a top 5 FSU team and top 5-10 Tennessee team every year.

Not to mention Auburn’s good teams in the 90s.

Oh and a much better Miami competing for recruits.

And Alabama in the SECCG.

Les Miles beat every team on his schedule in 2011, isn't that how you win a national championship?

Wonder how many more Miles would have won if Saban wasn’t in same division.

Fulmer could’ve had a couple more had it not been for Spurrier (and Saban) :(

Hmmm, No? The college football season has changed a lot over the years, but during the BCS era, to win the title one simply had to be considered one of the best two teams after the end of conference championship weekend per the BCS formula, and then win the BCS Championship game. LSU accomplished the first part of that in 2011, but failed miserably on the second part. Do you really not understand or remember this? It was a fairly big story.
