Insane outing last night. Some might have seen it coming tho. The guy is meh at best when pitching at home:
8 starts 2-1 5.25 ERA 36 IP 42 hits 24 runs 21 ER 13bb 49ks
Will Bednar on the road???
6 starts 6-0 1.22 ERA 37 IP 20 H 5R 7bb 61ks
Two completely different pitchers almost.

He put in some good work yesterday that's for sure.
ETA That home stat line is interesting....maybe the 14K and the general raucous nature in Starkville makes him nervous

Very impressive. MSU has been my sleeper team due to their arm depth. It just seems like they haven't been able to put it all together this season. Peaking at the right time?

He has pitched better away than at home all season, You could be right.

Out of all the SEC teams left, State is definitely the one I would most like to see win it.

Did you watch us hit last night? Three bloop hits saved us. We aren’t peaking till TA starts seeing the ball

We aren't peaking until Lane Forsythe actually makes it on base.

my thought would be he might get too amped up at home and he is overpitching.
BUT
He showed out at the CWS in Game 1. I don't know how the CWS would be less pressure or provide a lesser jolt of adrenaline than home.

That poor kid. He gets up 3-0 and still strikes out
Honestly though, it seems like every strike 3 called against him is questionable at best.

He deserves to strike out by watching borderline pitches go by. I've never seen someone more defensive at the plate in my life. It's like he goes up there with the mentality of don't strike out.
Scottie used to have that same approach, but seems like he's been a little more aggressive as of late. He had some great at bats last night.

Yup, I agree, can’t watch those pitches go by with 2 strikes.

His slider was absolutely moving last night. Texas couldn't come close.

If I'm Lemonis, I'm having him take some extra bunt reps during BP moving forward. We can waste outs against the pitching teams we're going to face.

Our whole staff is worse at home, would definitely spend some time this off-season trying to figure out why.

Part of me thinks it's them pressing to please the fans. Our home crowd is known to come into games with large expectations. Our program has always had that underdog mentality, but it's hard to feel that way with 14k behind you.

Msu has been consistent all year
If McLeod can put up another solid effort msu will be sitting pretty

We need atleast 5 out of Cmac with no more than 4 runs given up. Then bring in 2 of Preston Johnson, Brandon Smith, Parker Stinett to close it out. Maybe even give Sims the 9th.

MacLeod has been in his head in several of his recent starts. MSU needs a nice start out of him.

He tends to overthrow early in games. If he can settle in early, I like him to go 6 innings.

Texas is a legit team. I thought MSU played well versus elite competition.
ETA
MSU looked great vs the overall #2 seed . I would say that is a great indicator
