Let's strip the veneer from dave aranda, shall we?

In the SEC, the lsu defense is..
Below average at preventing 3rd down conversions.
Below average at passing yards allowed.
Below average at redzone defense.
Below average at 1st down defense.
Exactly average in passing effeciency defense.
Barely above average in scoring defense.
And finally, exactly average in total defense.
Lsu hasn't scored one single defensive touchdown this season.
Lone bright spot? 2nd in rushing defense.
The mythos of dave aranda and the lsu defense needs to stop.
This guy's making 2.5 million dollars a year for two reasons, neither of which have anything to do with coaching ability, he's pretty milquetoast with all that.
First and foremost joe alleva knew he couldn't leave stan and ollie to their own devices, lsu needed a credible coach on staff and second the lsu fanbase is a desperate bunch. So desperate in fact, they've convinced themselves they have an elite defensive coordinator.
ETA. Error made. Lsu does in fact have ONE defensive touchdown. The corndicks have desperately grabbed on to that error and won't let go. Apparently the ncaa doesn't care enough to record it.
Everything else though? Right on.

Also, our defense has played 3 offenses that pass the ball pretty darn well. Guess it doesn't matter who your opponent is, only the stats aye?

Our schedule has been much better than almost everyone in the SEC’s let’s do this at the end of the season.

You don't have to trust what i'm saying. Check for yourself and apparently the ncaa isn't moved by your lone defensive touchdown. They haven't recorded it. In fact if it's less than two, they apparently don't give a shite.
