As the Godfather of the SEC it's cute to see our underlings grow and mature. We cheer when Alabama wins a natty in FB. We cheer when Kentucky hangs another banner from the rafters and so on with the various individual sports . As teams develop and they puff out their chests we gently pat their heads and tell them to keep it up.
Lift your head up and see the forest from the trees. The next step from one sport is multisport. It's a natural progression.
But when it's all said and done we sit back and light our stogies, sip our single malt
and place another all-sports trophy on the shelf.
