The only one who has a legitimate gripe is Pittman.
Arkansas' cross divisional schedule is significantly harder top to bottom than anyone elses. Almost everyone else has a pretty similar mixture compared to their divisional opponents.
The other teams that got tough additional draws had very easy original draws, so the 4 averaged out pretty well.

Ok who should have LSU played....?
I’d like to see Louisiana State play Auburn then Florida then straight to Alabama with no bye week, then the Aggies. Seeing as they got gifted the easiest reschedule out of all the teams this is the fair thing to do.
Louisiana State can them have all the bye weeks they need before their big Citrus Bowl showdown.

LSU had to play Florida and UGA back to back as recently as 2018 and Auburn was right before that.
LSU has had Florida every year which has been one of the toughest teams year in and year out. The Swamp is no picnic to go play in every other year. No one complained when Spurrier was hanging 50 on LSU regularly.
This all goes back to Bama and Tenn refusing to budge on their permanent game. And I know Tenn was a legit opponent in the 90's but they haven't been relevant since 2001.
Their pissed because no way they were going to match Bama and Florida this year and Sankey basically catered to Bama and Florida.
The fairest thing to do would have been to use the next 2 non conf opponents on the schedule.
In the end it's all about SOS and LSU and Bama already had tougher schedules inside the SEC than most.
Reshuffle the divisions is what needs to happen.

I'd say that the formula is quite apparent and transparent. They clearly helped the better teams, at the expense of the worst teams, while placing special emphasis on screwing Arkansas as much as possible.
Great lesson for your "student athletes" SEC! Way to check your bias at the door.

Press conference today by Pittman:
“ Finding out GA, FL on the schedule: It allows us to potentially be the hottest team in the country to talk about. We've got more opportunities against highly ranked teams.”
Love that man, he ain’t scared.

I mean yeah? If they'd matched Bama and Florida Alabama would be playing their 4 SEC East games against the teams picked to finish #1, #2, #3, #4.
How on earth would that have made sense?

As we know each division has 3 Big 6 teams. Hogs the only team with all Big 6 schools on their schedule. And only team to get all 3 of the Big 6 teams on their schedule from the division crossover.

So, Arkansas is not a marquee team right now. But they're going to be playing one almost every week. That's better than being in games against Vandy, Ole Miss, etc. Nobody will be watching those.

Arkansas and Mizzou got shafted hard. There's 2 top teams in each division and they both managed to get them.
I mean I'm glad LSU got easy opponents but I don't see how Arky and Mizzous teams were any where near fair.

The teams with the best chances to play in the all SEC CFPs got the most favorable matchups.
Everyone else can get back in line and shut up

The answers are clearly Mullen and Jimbo being the angry elves

Cool, then don't cry when you get an unexpected loss. This is 2020. Strange things will happen.

I like Sam's approach.I like a coach who feel's His team can compete with anyone and won't back down from challenges.
Bring it on.
Bring it on.

The only solution is for the LSU vs Arky game to be canceled, and that week LSU plays itself and Arky does the same.
LSU's schedule just got tougher and Arky's got easier, all fixed.
This is the problem.

Why would Leach care that much about Mullen? I could see him wanting to play Tennessee after that coaching search a few years ago, but do you think he really cares about the former coach at Miss State?

How did they cater to Bama and UF? UF and Georgia have basically matching cross div opponents and Bama has a harder schedule than LSU. Having Bama play UF makes them play the three best teams in the East(four if UK is the fourth). To claim that is catering is absurd, just because a false rumor was made that made you think it would happen.
