At this point Auburn is playing on house money. We lost our second best pitcher several months ago, our best pitcher is now a relief pitcher because of shoulder soreness, our batters have seriously regressed from last year (not including the post season). I really have no expectations that we will win it all, which in a way makes it even more fun because the disappointment will be minimal if we lose. I think that this will allow our players to play free and just go out and go all out.

We started the season on fire and went cold for reasons you mentioned, but while not on fire, they've increased the temperature to hot.
