From that picture, you can clearly see that he is firmly controlling the ball with his left elbow.

Let's discuss what being purposely obtuse means...if you want to have a discussion about whether the play should have been whistled dead because his forward progress was stopped you could probably make more intellectually honest arguments.

The whole situation happened because the Arkansas player wasn’t strong enough to bring him down without spinning him.
Now they’re just bringing attention to how weak their players are.

The ball was knocked lose when the defender wrapped his arms around him. The ball was coming out before his feet were lifted off the ground.
