Very few HR hires anymore. Very rare and only happen with some prior connection.

You don't get your first choice. Just remember this when advocating to fire the guy you already have.

I am trying to internalize this as A&M steps up to bat next, but it’s hard.

One thing nice for us is our backup choice is Ole Miss’s top choice.

UT thought they were a better program and reality hand checked them.

All of this is just another reminder how poorly LSU handled their vacancy. They are unquestionably one of the top spots in the country, and they ended up with a guy with a losing record as a HC.

The lesson is be very careful letting a guy go. These ADs honestly have no idea what they’re doing and quite frankly they aren’t the ones in control.

Message board fans with beaucoup money are calling the shots. It’s killing the league.

It happens everywhere. It's going to happen at Arkansas as well.

It's largely luck.

This is why I shake my head at some Kentucky fans who want Stoops gone right now. Unless it's a Neal Brown-type, it would be an absolute shitshow.

Yup, it's always "fire him!" then you bring in your 4th or 5th choice.

Yep. Easy to say fire x and then realize months later that the job isn't as attractive as you thought it was

We didnt strike out looking. We struck out, pitched a fit, broke our bat, and threw it into the stands. This is bad.
