Leaves a bad taste in my mouth to say it, but Alabama's the ONLY Daddy in the SEC

Texas & Oklahoma....take a seat in the back with the rest of us. When the Tide rolls in and stomps your arse, you'll know your place.

Truth is truth and there's no way around it. The rest of ya know it, too.

Except you're not going to be the one to change it.

You and OU just need to have a seat, buckle up, and get ready for a bumpy ride.

Welcome to the SEC!

They're really gonna miss Baylor, Rice, Kansas, Tech, etc. four games into their first SEC season.

I was told this was a "gauntlet". How can there be a "daddy" in a "gauntlet"?

Those two things don't jive together.

Don't worry, Bama won't be the only team you call "daddy". You'll go through multiple fathers in a single season here - much like you've done IRL.

And let us all acknowledge that this is made by an UGA fan.

UGA knows what they are talking about when they are addressing the two newcomers. Mainly because y'all are peers.

All the resources in the world, all the talent a program could ever ask for, and still you fail to do anything significant.

We LSU fans can't relate. Sure, Bama owns us. However, we still manage to put up a fight now and again and actually win something of importance more than once a generation these days.

You can call Bama Daddy, but frick that. We won't.

frick Bama and their sister who rode in on them.

Texas in one division and Alabama in the other.

No other conference could you ever match having two anchors like our new SEC

One is an anchor. The other has been anchored for years.

It’s Texas. Texas has been anchored in crap for years

Funny how Bama is a blue blood but LSU finished an Undefeated season before any SEC team. Current and future

The year was 1908. LSU still doesn't claim it however as a NC.

Some say LSU is "New Money" but in reality LSU was winning before women had the right to vote.

Bama wouldn't claim their first until 1925

Do you really believe that? I’m trying to gauge y’all’s fan base and how delusional y’all may be

Yessir. Onfield results notwithstanding, Texas football sparks interest coast to coast among both casuals and the initiated. I'm talking love and hate here. They were allocated a national channel by a NYC area network. And all that was while being in a third tier conference.

Now they'll be sowed a greater focus in the biggest/baddest conference in football You're judged by your bedfellows. Profile gets raised to Alabama's level (who earned it by sheer dominance in the social media age).

And texas has been sucking about as long as that channel has been sucking. Happy to have texas but you going to have to earn that title in this league not just beat ok yearly.

LSU is definitely a beast but also went 4 decades without even getting close to a title and only had six 10 win seasons in that period also. Prior to Saban LSU last title was in the 60s.

Also during that period

Alabama
Florida
Georgia
Tennessee
Auburn

All won National Titles during LSU'S 4 decades + drought.
