Back to the grind for everyone with a little red arse from taking a few kicks to it from hungry programs across the country.

Week 1 will be here before we know it.

Alabama @ Florida State

LSU @ Clemson

Auburn @ Baylor

Syracuse vs Tennessee

Texas @ Ohio State (again)

South Carolina vs Virginia Tech

Time to move on to 2 round ball sports where the league is currently the best in the country and fight amongst ourselves there

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to look at that and see either an SEC sweep or only one SEC loss

LSU vs Clemson might as well be judgement day for Brian Kelly.

I know lots of LSU fans on the fence right now. If we don’t come out and make a statement his seat is going to get real warm.

Arch is going to come out and light OSU up and Texas fans will be both elated to start the season and pissed at what could’ve been.

Or they’ll find out exactly why Arch was the backup QB who couldn’t beat out a statue with a dead arm named Quinn

OSU will have a 30 million team next year and nobody will light them up.

If/when they win it all and get a taste they will easily spend $35 million next year.

Blood in the water after that, can’t put that genie back in the bottle.

Maybe so, guess we'll find out. Either way, still going to be a lot of elite players across the league.

That Syracuse game could’ve been spicy if McCord had come back. Alas.

It's laughable to think about how Ryan Day is going to hold college football hostage for years to come. Michigan is still running off Harbaugh fumes. Who else, Oregon? Dan Lanning has a lot to prove just getting back.

I'm afraid the college football world is going to be stuck with looking up at the SEC.

I don't think any team or league is going to dominate anything. I still think the SEC is probably the deepest league in the country, but which league has the best 2-5 teams at the top might change each year (and will likely be between the SEC and B1G most years).

I'm just glad this football nonsense is over with so we can have more basketball channels and time slots.

Don't sleep on Bama. If we don't get our players bought out come spring and we get decent QB play, I really like our roster.

Texas at Ohio State is going to be pretty tough, all the rest should be favored.

Texas fans usually brag way too much for their level of success, but this is the type of game that they actually usually win

I think the SEC just had a few years where average QB play and a dead couple cycles where current players just weren't good as what coaches thought became the elephant in the room.

These are the seasons where an LSU/Ole Miss/A&M/Florida type team would've filled that gap but with the xfer portal and new dynamics (NIL) these projects have taken longer than expected or fell short. Hopefully that changes and 2 of these teams can contend next year.

With a 12 team playoff I can see 4-5 teams making it next year at a minimum and to a point we were close to that this year. If Ole Miss beats Florida and Bama beats Oklahoma then that would've forced the hand of the committee a little more with only 2 losses each.
