Damn, it would be ROUGH to be a Moo state fan.
Not even gonna say anything about vandy, everybody knows they are only in the SEC to help the academic standing of the conference (and they do a good job of that).

In defense of both Vanderbilt and MSU, they do usually field solid baseball teams (I know this thread is about football), and both have at least one baseball championship in the last few years.

Tennessee had already set its sights on the national title game. They thought beating LSU was a given just the same way Florida thought beating Tennessee was. Doesn't matter...nobody was beating Miami for the national title that year.
