Wasn't Georgia the first SEC team to win the CWS?

Doesn't answer my question.

The correct answer is YES, Georgia, in 1990 became the first SEC school to win the College World Series.

Nope. The OP said that 1980 was the last time Georgia didn't crap the bed on the national stage.

1990 was when they won the CWS.

Why do fans of the teams that Georgia has wiped the floor with the last 2+ seasons like to talk about 1980 so much?

Congratulations that over the last 2 seasons UGA has underachieved more than any other CFB program in the last 20 years

Yes, in the last 10 years we have accomplished so much more than Georgia. Not just in football, but our entire athletic department as a whole. Football, basketball, and baseball, the 3 important sports have all been further than UGA

Sad at how much potential UGA squanders in athletics. Pathetic really

Since OP is obviously talking about baseball, the correct answer is 1990. Not 1980. At least get your trolls correct.
