Road game means your opponent's stadium
Posted on 4/5/19 at 10:49 am to I Bleed Garnet
They had to go on the road to reach their destination

It was a neutral site not a road game, quit being a moron

Damn, that's almost as long as 1980.

11 years give or take.
But hey, we are just trying to copy Florida by playing FSU

No, that's an "away" game. Road games are games you travel for, like away games and neutral site games.
BTW, that's why they are called "Home and Away series", and NOT "Home and Home series".

Well Spurrier coached the Gators in 1990 so I think your info is a little off like the OP.

How do you think they get to their home stadium????
Just being a jack arse.

Brought to you by the people who call getting "on track" now getting "un-tracked".
They were always 'home and away' series until recently when people decided that was too complicated. Does no one else really not remember "away games"?
(And seriously, using the Columbia Broadcasting System as a source? )

I'm just saying they call it a Home and Home series now...
Both teams get 2 home games.

And this matters why?

Yeah, this is an extremely weird thing to bitch about. Why should we go play a road game out of state? We play FSU every year, who is generally always in the championship talk with a top 5 team talent composite + LSU from the West (arguably the second best program).
It's the same thing with everyone complaining we wouldn't give UCF a "fair shake", we're going to do what's in our best interest and we ought to. Why should we appease anyone by taking unnecessary risks? It's not like we need the help with SOS or we'll be left out of the Playoff if we go undefeated. It only serves to get brownie points from teams we don't care about.

What? They've been called "home and home" since I stated watching CFB in the '80's and it makes complete sense.
